History

Spanish Mastiffs are tremendous guard dogs. The dog takes it's responsibilty of a guard dog seriously and will not let another animal or person on the property. You will not have to train the mastiff to do this because it comes natural to the breed. They are extremley good with children and can get along with other family pets.

Behavior

The Spanish Mastiff is a huge mastiff breed with a deep broad chest, heavy boned legs, a long tail, long natural folding ears and a massive head. The coat of the Spanish Mastiff is short to medium straight haired coat with the hair on the tail and the center of the back being longer. Colors of the mastiff come in red, wolfgrey, black, red-brown, yellow, or broken colors. They also have a longer muzzle than most other mastiffs, loose folds of skin and a double dewlap on the neck.
